At the end of 2011, Otto had the awesome opportunity to be involved with a new benefit album, entitled “Novum Initium”, featuring music from many of the video game industry’s leading composers. All proceeds donated to Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, financial assistance to career musicians in need. Otto contributed a track called “Awakened” with Aubrey Ashburn, an award-winning singer/songwriter.

Otto also provided art direction for the project. Limited edition physical CDs were sold on auction via eBay to further support the cause.

Heavyocity: DAMAGE

Otto recently contributed additional sound design for Heavyocity’s new virtual instrument, DAMAGE This product was released in November 2011, distributed by Native Instruments.

Each week during the Pre-order timeframe, (7/13 – 8/13), we will randomly pick 10 Facebook Fans, Twitter Followers, Youtube Channel Subscribers and fans that Pre-order the Deluxe “Lost Artifacts” edition (Totalling 40 winners).

Prizes:

Damage Vault and the FiXT Store are pleased to announce open pre-orders for the third volume of DV’s EP series.

Damage Vault unleashes the third volume of audio landscapes buried deep within the vault. Elements used within these 3 tracks were excavated from tapes found in a room which appeared to have once been some kind of medical lab, in which horrific experiments took place.

The Deluxe “Lost Artifacts” edition, exclusive to the FiXT Store, features an additional 7 previously unreleased songs, and a commentary track detailing the project’s history.

The Mecho Wars OST and Remix EP, produced by Sean Beeson and Otto Cate, and featuring AF THE NAYSAYER, Pontus Rufelt and Justin Wasack, is now available at the FiXT Store. The EP features the Mecho Wars official soundtrack, and remixes provided by Otto Cate, and members of the FiXT Remix community.

These tracks will also be featured in the upcoming Sony PSP/PS3 and Nintendo Wii releases of the Mecho Wars game, created by Luc Bernard, and published by Oyaji Games.
